You can group your products into collections to make it easier for customers to find them by category. Here are a few examples of collections that you might create:

• clothes for men, women, or children
• items of a certain type, such as lamps, cushions, or rugs
• items on sale
• items in a certain size or color
• seasonal products, such as holiday cards and decorations

After you create a collection, it can be shown on your online store as a webpage with a gallery of the products that are in the collection. Your customers can then click a product image on the collection page to visit a specific product's page. You can help customers find and view collections by adding links to the collections in a menu in your store's navigation.

The exact layout and appearance of collection pages depends on your theme.

Customize Collection Page

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes

• Find the theme that you want to edit and click Customize

• From the top bar drop-down menu, select the type of page that you want to edit. Select Collection PagesNow you can modify your collection layout.

There are 4 Static Section: Header, Collection pages (main content), Bottom, Footer. You can click to each sections to be setting following panel.

Add Sub-collection (sub-categories) to Collection page

Shopify dont support Sub-collection so in order to add subcollection, we use Metafield & menu items to display collection under menu items to collection pages as sub-collection.

It's require to setup Metafield before to use this function. You may following instruction at Shopify metafield.

Creat Sub Collection Menu.

From your Shopify admin, go to

1. On the Navigation page, click the title of the menu that you want to edit.

2. Click Add menu item.

3. Enter a title for the menu item. This title will be displayed in the menu.

4. Click the Link field, and then select a link type collections, select sub-colection and add it.

   • Collections
     • a specific collection or all collections

5. Select Handle name and click Save.

Add Sub Collection Menu to Collection page by Metafield.

Add mention in Shopify metafield, you may use Custom Field Extensions or Bulk Editor to add subcollection metafield.

• Add Handle name of Sub Collection menu you created above to subcategory field and save it.
